I was searching for TV shows that relate to racial discrimination in Youtube.com. Eventually, I found this TV cartoon show called "The Family Guy", which is a hilarious cartoon show. The person who put this video on Youtube had edited this cartoon, so that it relates to the topic 'Racial Discrimination'. After watching this video clip, I started to wonder whether "The Family Guy" is a racial TV show.

Racism/Barack Obama
I was searching for racism articles in "google.com" and randomly found this article about Barack Obama. This article was posted by a guy named Mark Potok and is titled "Racist attacks on Obama Growing More Heated." Mark Potok said, "With the selection of Barack Obama as the first black Democratic nominee for president seeming more possible by the day, racists and white supremacists are posting increasingly ugly and even threatening remarks on the Internet." He has given examples of the posts that racist people have posted online: “OBAMA WILL DIE, KKK FOREVER." Such posts are very offending and unfortunately many people have participated in posting racist comments online.
Once again, the internet has proven that racism is a huge deal and that many people are agreeing with the idea of racism and white supermacy. Racists are refusing to elect an African-American president to represent United States, and are threatening Obama with comments on internet. This may seem childish and dismissive to several, but it is a big issue. Internet is all around the world, and these comments might affect the audience to also refuse to elect Obama.

Racism on Harold and Kumar
Racism is one of the most common issues all around the world. Many have fought against racism for years, yet the problem does not seem to disappear. Racism is not only happening in real life, but also is appearing in mass media as entertainment. The example that I have chosen is a movie clip from "youtube.com" from Harold and Kumar 2 (Escape from Guantanamo Bay). Harold and Kumar are both part of the minorities of United States; Harold is South Korean and Kumar is Indian. Racism is one of the themes of this movie and is shown throughout the movie.
This clip deals with Harold and Kumar joining the K.K.K, the Ku Klux Klan, for accidental reasons. Harold and Kumar accidentally met two members of the K.K.K. while the celebration of clan. They fought those two members of K.K.K. and disguised as white racists to avoid conflicts with the clan. The problem with this movie is that it is persuading the minds of audiences to think that racism is funny. The movie is indirectly affecting the audience to think that racism is part of the culture, entertaining, and therefore should not be considered seriously.

The most influencial type of media is television. Television programs include news, music, movies, talk show, and commercials. Much variety of mass media is clustered in television.
When some product is being advertised, it is more infulencial when audiences view it visually with sound and motions rather than just reading the product from an article of a magazine or internet. Many own one or more television in Korea, meaning that television is necessary for information and communication with the world. It is comfortable and enjoyable in many households in the world.

I think that the internet has the greatest mass media affect in my life. It is everywhere in Korea and its hard to find someone who isn't connect to the Internet. I remember when TV used to have great influence, but now I can't get through a single day without using the Internet. Furthermore, Internet has influenced my ethics. It provides so much information on variety of subjects that my ethics have completely changed over the years because of the Internet. Now, I get my news, schoolwork, notices, and emails by Internet. It has become on the major mass media tool that I use and need. Furthermore, Internet has only been around for about 20 years at most. It has completely revolutionise how people get their news. No other mass media have changed our sense of media like the Internet.

Mass Media
Mass media is manipulating elements such as radio, newspaper, internet, or television to inform and communicate with large population of audiences. For instance, television programs such as "Oprah" from U.S. aims not only to U.S. citizens, but also people around the world. We can no longer define media as simple broadcast of information, with increasing advancement on digital communication technology is creating complex problems.
